In this interview Kid Cudi speaks on his new album, the new-breed of emcees, the state of Cleveland and his street credibility or (lack thereof). Pretty Good interview, Check It Out.
"I know the street, but I don’t know it inside out. I didn’t run the streets, but I have lived in the struggle. And if anything, it took me to go through that shit to get where I’m at right now. I had to go through that—live in those ghettos and grind and see that type of shit. It makes me more humble now, made me look at motherfuckers different. It made me more well-rounded. I think that’s why niggas fuck with me all around, from the suburbs to the hood because I am the persona of all things, of all walks of life—that’s how well rounded I am. I’m the persona of a human being I’m sure everybody knows all rolled in one".
