0 Excerpts From Tia's Diary: Deeper Than Rap (Ross' Baby Moms)
So...yall probably thought this wasn't going to drop (like I did), but apparently it is real and dropping May 20th. Here is an excerpt from the upcomiing tell-all book by Rick Ross' baby moms:
"
It wasn’t just the child support case that was getting me down. It was all of it. How he treated me like he was better than me and smarter than me during our whole relationship, how when I dated him it was almost like I dated his momma because she was so involved in his life, how his pathetic first baby’s mama did everything she could to disrespect me every step of the way and he did nothing, how he verbally and physically abused me, how I left my marriage to be with him.
This was the last straw. I didn’t know what I was going to do but I had reached my limit. As an overall nice and patient, caring person, I could get mean. I could play dirty. Up until this point I tried hard to let things be dealt with the right way without making Will look bad. I was being generous. He was a man that barely visited his baby, didn’t want to pay child support and didn’t care if his son was stranded at day care? I could play this game also. He was about to see. I decided it was time for exposure. I had been nice and quiet but you have to set the record straight sometimes. William was a fake, a phony, from his background to his lyrics. And if had to be me to clear that up for everyone and let them know the truth, so let it be".
Damn!!! I guess it really is Deeper Than Rap!! Click Here for more Excerpts and Pictures

0 Eminem Co-Signs Asher Roth, Asher Reacts To Kudos
Via XXL Mag:
"Eminem digs Asher Roth. Roth’s been plagued by Em comparisons since he first surfaced on the scene. So, for months hip-hop fans speculated on Eminem possibly dissing Asher, the latest white MC to show superstar potential. No beef here. Slim actually gave props to AR in XXL’s June cover story.
“I’ve heard things,” Em told XXL Editor-In-Chief Datwon Thomas. “But the stuff that I’ve heard from him honestly, which certainly isn’t enough for me to make my own opinion and say, ‘Yeah, he does sound like me’ or ‘No, he doesn’t.’ But the couple of songs I’ve head, I don’t really think he does. You know what I mean? He’s doing his own thing. I can respect it, too, because at the end of the day, I think he’s dope.”

0 50 Cent And Robert Greene's "The 50th Law" To Be Released 9/8/09
Via Thisis50:
When Robert Greene published The 48 Laws of Power in 2000, a book that has sold over 800,000 copies, he had no idea the book would become a mega cult classic - and not just amongst business types. Indeed, managers, producers, and aspiring artists in the hip hop community embraced Greene’s tactics to survive and thrive in the cut throat music industry (tactics which are largely based on historical figures like Napoleon and Nietzsche).
One such survivor who credits Greene’s work with his success is Curtis Jackson (aka 50 cent). 50, who was born in South Jamaica and started dealing crack at the age of 12, used the tactics in The 48 Laws to help him indentify friend from foe, opportunity from opposition, and ultimately triumph in a dog eat dog industry; In 2008, 50 was named by Forbes magazine as the #1 earning Hip Hop Cash King.
But the single most defining moment in 50s life, he says, is when he completely let go of his fear.
Click "Continue Entry" For More Info
"Fear nothing, and you shall succeed". This is the basic tenant of a groundbreaking collaboration between 50 and Greene which includes intimate stories from 50s life on the streets and in the boardroom, as well as examples of others who have overcome adversity through understanding and practicing The 50th Law. At turns hard-nosed and deeply inspirational, this is a book for entrepreneurs as well as anyone interested in the extraordinary life of Curtis Jackson.
The 48 Laws of Power offer maneuvers for the chess game of life; The 50th Law gives you the courage to sit down at the table.
- At the end of the day, whether you like 50 Cent's music or not, you have to respect his hustle. This man has destroyed careers, sold millions of albums and made hundreds of millions of dollars. So when he talks you better listen!!!

0 QD3's "Carter' Documentary On The Way; Despite Opposition From Lil Wayne
Via XXL Mag:
"Looks like QDIII’s Lil Wayne documentary The Carter will be coming to DVD after all. A judge denied the Grammy-award winning artist’s request yesterday (April 21) to stop the film’s release, according to Variety.
As previously reported Weezy sued QDIII, the producer’s company QDIII Entertainment and their affiliate Digeratti Holdings, LLC last month claiming he was never given approval over the final cut before its premiere as promised, and that the movie portrays him in a negative light.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael S. Mink voted in the producer’s favor, rejecting Wayne’s request for a preliminary injunction. Now QD, the son of legendary musician Quincy Jones and producer behind the Beef DVD series, is free to shop around for a distribution deal for the flick. “We’re very pleased with the court’s decision,” he told Variety. “We made a great film, which was incredibly well received at Sundance, and showcases Lil Wayne’s extraordinary talent.”

0 Jadakiss Interview With Hip Hop Game 4/20/09
Jadakiss talks to HHG about his 1st week sales, Bill O' Reilly, The Lox, the skinny jean fashion Trend, upcoming tours and more.
Quotable:
Well I noticed with this album that you were able to maintain your sense of lyricism and still manage to do well within the first week of sales. Do you feel the veterans are at fault because they're not making quality music?
"Nah, I mean that's the only…You know, New York took a hit when everybody started getting money. You know what I mean? Everybody was doing alright in record sales. Everybody had some success but then the ego started playing a part. From then, nobody wanted to do songs with each other. Niggas were on some "I'm not fucking with that nigga. I'm not doing that!" That hurt everybody in a whole, and everybody stopped dropping albums. Then wherever, the South, the West came, linked up, and collected that money for certain amount of years. I just feel like this is going to give everybody some sense of inspiration to come. You got Fab coming. You got more north artists that's gon' come back. You know Red is doing his thing. Maino is doing his thing. This gon' give everybody the motivation to put music out, so then, nobody has to sit down and complain. The only way they stop the problem is to be part of the solution! Put out some good shit!"

0 Twista Interview W/ DJ Z
Via Email:
In an exclusive interview with DJBooth.net, Twista steps into the Booth to discuss his “You scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours,” approach to scoring big-name guest features, what Midwestern rappers need to do in order to achieve mainstream success in today’s music industry, and whose beats he thinks make him sound the absolute best—Kanye‘s or Traxster‘s?
Plus Twitter-talk, his EMI label deal, and the "Fakon"-version of "On Top" that leaked to the net.
Quotable:
DJ Booth: There’s a promotional video for the new album, and it states, “In a time where hip-hop is lost, one man will help find it.” So, two-part question for you: one, when exactly do you feel hip-hop went missing, and, two, why is Twista the right man to lead this search party?
Twista: Okay, that’s a two-part question, gotcha. I would say hip-hop didn’t come up missing, I would say people started thinking hip-hop came up missing. And no disrespect to Nas, because Nas is really one of my favorite rappers, period, he’s definitely in my top five, but when you make statements like, “Hip-hop is dead,” which, he was a genius when he made it, ‘cause he got everybody talkin’ about it, you create things in people’s heads. That started the whole vibe that hip-hop might not have been around, but really it just changes, man. The younguns come in and they do it their way. Then we get used to what they’re doing, and the people younger than them come in and do it their way, and it just keeps evolving.
