0 Syl Johnson To Sue Jay-Z & Kanye West For Uncleared Sample On "The Joy"

Talk about "throwing rocks at The Throne". Allegedly "The Joy" off of Watch The Throne's Deluxe Edition features an uncleared sample from Syl Johnson's "Different Strokes". According to Johnson's reps, sample clearance negotiations originally occurred for "The Joy" to appear on Kanye's "Dark Fantasy" album, but were stalled for undisclosed reasons. Upon hearing "Watch The Throne", The Numero Group (the label who owns rights to the record) sent a out statement and a tweet alluding to impending legal action.
