0 Quote Of The Day: "Empty Cans"

So since it's 2009 and all that I thought I would switch it up a little bit. So, from now on I will provide insight on the quote of the day, which will detail WHAT I THINK a particular quote means. So without further delay:

Quote: "The empty can rattles the loudest"

Origin: Unknown

Insight: More often than not, people who boast or brag about what they have done or what they can do, generally have little or nothing to offer. The "empty can" makes a lot of noise because it is empty, much like a person may boast about some type of ability they claim to process. In reality, they "rattle" or make noise in order to make up for deficiencies in areas of so-called expertise. A "full" can rattles least because the fact that the can is "full" or "content" reduces its ability or want to "rattle" or make noise. Think about it, when was the last time you heard Bill Gates brag about his BILLIONS? As one of the richest people in the world, Bill Gates is content with his finical situation and he doesn't feel the need to make other people content with his finical situation. Even Muhammad Ali, who is arguably the best boxer of all time has done his share of "rattling". Now you may ask yourself isn't that a contradiction to the above statement? Absolutely not. Muhammad Ali was once quoted saying "I am the greatest, I said that even before I knew I was". In other words, Ali had to "rattle" to convince himself of his abilities or make up for his lack thereof.

Thoughts? Agree? Disagree? Why Or Why Not?
